# Data collected

FlexxAgent collects technical information from managed devices to provide capabilities such as monitoring, inventory, remote assistance, automation, and diagnostics.

The collected information is displayed in different views of the platform, and its level of detail depends on the operating system and the capabilities it offers.

Most of this information is available in the [Workspaces](../features/workspaces/workspaces-detail) and [Sessions](../features/sessions/sessions-detail) views, where you can check the status of devices and managed sessions.

## Device identification

FlexxAgent collects the information required to uniquely identify each device within the platform.

This category includes data such as:

* Device name
* Device code
* Description
* Manufacturer
* Serial number
* Device identifiers
* Domain
* Reporting group it belongs to

## Device status

Information about the device status is collected to monitor its availability and help detect incidents.

It includes:

* Connection status
* Last communication
* Uptime
* Device status

## Agent status

Information about FlexxAgent itself is also collected to support administration and support tasks.

It includes data such as:

* Installed version
* Agent status
* Reporting group where it is installed
* Session Analyzer status and version

## Operating system

Information about the operating system on which the agent runs is collected.

It may include:

* Operating system
* Edition
* Version
* Language
* Date of the last restart

## Hardware

Information about the hardware available on the device is collected.

Depending on the operating system, it may include:

* Processor
* RAM
* Storage
* Network cards
* Graphics cards
* Firmware
* Other physical components

## Network and connectivity

Information about the device's network configuration and connectivity changes is collected.

It may include:

* IP address
* MAC address
* DNS
* Public IP address
* Region
* Connection type
* Wi-Fi signal strength
* Date of the last network change

## Users and sessions

Information related to device usage is collected.

It may include:

* Connected user
* Last user
* Session status
* Start time
* Connection time
* Number of sessions

## Performance

Performance metrics are collected to monitor device health and help diagnose incidents.

It may include:

* CPU usage
* Memory usage
* Storage usage
* Network usage
* Other performance indicators available in the operating system

## Security

On platforms that allow it, information related to installed security solutions may also be collected.

It may include:

* Installed antivirus
* Version
* Antivirus status
* EDR solutions
* Compatible security integrations

## Virtual environments

When the device belongs to a virtual infrastructure, FlexxAgent can collect additional information, such as:

* Hypervisor
* Broker
* Delivery group
* Registration status
* Virtual machine information

## Updates

Information about the operating system update status can also be collected.

When available, it includes:

* Installed updates
* Pending updates
* Pending restart

## Purpose of the collection

The information collected by FlexxAgent allows the platform to:

* Identify managed devices.
* Maintain an up-to-date inventory.
* Monitor the status and performance of devices.
* Detect hardware and software incidents.
* Help diagnose problems.
* Run remote operations supported by each platform.
